Francophonie Celebration at the Latin Patriarchate Schools
In an atmosphere filled with pride, culture, and openness, the Latin Patriarchate Schools were honored to welcome His Excellency Mr. Franck Gellet, Ambassador of France to Jordan, along with Mr. Luc Chevaillier, Cooperation and Cultural Counsellor, during the Francophonie celebration that brought together several Latin Patriarchate Schools offering French language education. The event reflected the strong cultural and educational ties between Jordan and France and highlighted the schools’ mission of preparing globally minded generations rooted in their identity and human values. The guests were welcomed by Fr. Dr. Firas Nasraween, the Chairman of the Latin Patriarchate Schools, Ms. Carol Jadoun, Chief Executive Officer, and Ms. Rula Sawalha, Academic Affairs Coordinator, in the presence of Ms. Majd Qardahji, Principal of Latin Patriarchate School – Al-Salt, Ms. Flora Ksabra, Principal of Latin Patriarchate School – Al-Jubeiha, Ms. Fadia Smarneh, Principal of Al-Jubeiha Kindergarten, and Fr. Samer Madanat. Special appreciation was also extended to teachers Asma Al-Harafi and Lina Shaddad for their outstanding efforts in training and mentoring the participating students, which greatly contributed to the success and distinction of the celebration. The visit included a tour of the church, followed by attendance at the celebration held at the theater of Latin Patriarchate School – Jubeiha, where students presented creative and cultural performances that reflected their talents, confidence, and excellence. The performances showcased the high academic and cultural standards that the Latin Patriarchate Schools strive to instill across all educational stages. His Excellency the Ambassador and the accompanying delegation also visited the classrooms and engaged directly with students in an inspiring encounter that embodied the values of dialogue, cultural exchange, and intellectual openness, while emphasizing the importance of the French language as a bridge for cultural and civilizational communication across the world.
