History & Summary
The Latin Patriarchal National College in Ashrafieh is one of the Latin Patriarchate Schools in Jordan and stands as one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the capital, Amman. Established in the mid-20th century, it was founded with an educational vision and ecclesiastical mission aimed at nurturing generations rooted in faith, knowledge, and belonging. The school follows the Jordanian national curriculum and serves students from Grade 1 to Grade 9 in a coeducational system (boys and girls). It also offers instruction in foreign languages (English and French), in addition to teaching Computer Science and some Science subjects in English at selected grade levels. A Diverse and Inclusive Community The school prides itself on being a diverse environment, hosting students from various Arab nationalities alongside Jordanians, and welcoming students of different faiths. This diversity fosters a spirit of coexistence, openness, and mutual respect within the school community. Administrative and Academic Development In the past, the school accepted only male students from Grade 4 through to Tawjihi (Grade 12). In 2003, as part of a unified restructuring plan, the student bodies of the Ashrafieh and Al-Misdar branches were merged as follows: Grades 1–9: Ashrafieh Branch (Coeducational) Grades 10–12 (Tawjihi): Al-Misdar Branch (Coeducational) A Lasting Mission and Generous Legacy The college has never been just an academic institution—it has been a cradle for mission and a ground for leadership formation.
