History & Summary
The Latin Patriarchate School in North Zarqa is one of Jordan’s leading educational institutions with a rich and longstanding history. The school was officially established between 1961 and 1962, funded by the German Knights of the Holy Sepulchre. Father Mario Forlan played a key role in constructing the school, church, and Cardinal Building. Initially, the school accommodated 280 students, increasing to 474 within the following year. To meet growing demand, the Knights funded additional construction, and by the 1968–1969 academic year, enrollment reached 881 students. The school was primarily established to serve parish members migrating to northern Zarqa and was officially registered with the Ministry of Education in 1965. It quickly gained a strong reputation for producing generations grounded in both academic knowledge and faith.
