Latin Patriarchate School in Tela’ Al-Ali

History & Summary

Latin Patriarchate School – Tla’ Al-Ali was founded in 1969 in the Gardens area as part of the Latin Patriarchate Schools network in Jordan. The school embraces the vision and mission of the Latin Patriarchate to provide high-quality education within a safe, nurturing environment rooted in Christian identity. It aims to prepare a generation equipped for holistic human development, grounded in love for God and country, and committed to dialogue and acceptance of others. Currently, the school serves 202 students from diverse religious and national backgrounds, where Muslim and Christian students learn side by side. This diversity reflects the school’s strong commitment to coexistence, a core principle since its founding. Originally offering education only up to grade four, the school has gradually expanded. Five years ago, it celebrated the graduation of its first class completing the tenth grade. Looking ahead, the school aspires to add grades 11 and 12, driven by parental demand and community support. The teaching staff is well-qualified academically and practically, continually enhancing their skills through specialized training. Alongside academic excellence, the school values extracurricular activities as key to students’ personal and social development. The school follows the national curriculum set by the Ministry of Education, while also teaching multiple languages including English and French. Despite strong competition from nearby schools, Latin Tla’ Al-Ali stands out due to its pastoral and humanitarian mission and the success of its graduates who serve the country across various fields.
